There are major challenges in providing services and support to survivors of gender-based violence in their multiple manifestations, and especially when they face the effects of complex trauma in intersecting ways. In this discussion, we will analyze the multiple factors that impact when facing gender violence and how they relate to physical and mental health. In the same way, it will discuss strategies to support survivors from a people-centred and human rights-oriented approach to empowerment.
